Additional thoughts
- Make sure to keep the NPC cards. If you do this more than once, you can start adding them to the table beforehand and changing the number of new vs existing NPCs used.
- If you're going for a specific type of game (nobility-driven, for example) you are free to mandate one or two connection types (such as, everyone must have at least one parent)
I'm gonna play with this. Similar to some things I've been thinking about.
ReplyDeleteI realized one flaw to this - there's a danger of a little bit too much symmetry. If you have 3 players who all create 2 and pick 2, there will be no loose threads. That's not a _bad_ thing, but I admit I like a little slop in my social diagramming. Debating whether the answer is to go 3:1 (lots more slop) or bump up to 5 connection, and do 3:2.
ReplyDeleteCan you give an example of how this chart works? I'm not quite grasping how to use it. Sorry!
