People who weren't there, and have no emotional involvement in who is right. In the process of explaining to them what went wrong (or right), you can often unspool the details to the point that you see things you missed the first time through. I've experienced it myself, and lately I keep reading about it (like in <a href="http://www.wired.com/wiredscience/2010/08/we-are-all-talk-radio-hosts/" rel="nofollow">this recent Jonah Lehrer article</a>, which I suspect you've already read). We're good at evaluating things, we're just not very good at understanding our basis for evaluation. Good to know for lots of areas of life, not just playtesting.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
